My goal as a teacher is to assess where a student is and to tailor my teaching style to their needs both technically and artistically. I strive to help my students not only to achieve technical mastery, but also to develop their own artistic voice in their music and to cultivate their artistry.

Students will learn basics of organ technique, including stylistic articulation and ornamentation, keyboard and pedal technique, and the art of organ registration

Students will learn how to listen to music, how to hear and create phrases, and the effects of harmonic functions on creating a musical narrative. Students will also learn the importance of the history of the pieces and composers they are working on, and how this knowledge effects their decisions on musical interpretation
